This policy explains what information Blue Carets (“we”, “us”) collects through bluecarets.com, how we use it and the choices you have. Our team works from the United States and the United Kingdom and serves clients worldwide.
Information you send us
When you use our contact or proposal forms, or email us directly, we receive the details you provide, such as your name, work email, company, website, budget range, deadlines and message. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry, prepare a proposal and, if we work together, deliver our services.
Depending on how the site is set up, form submissions are either sent from your own email app or delivered through a form-processing provider that forwards them to our inbox. That provider processes the data on our behalf.
Client documents
Documents you share with us for a project (such as tender packs, past proposals or client data) are used only for that project, kept confidential and, where agreed, covered by a non-disclosure agreement.
Information collected automatically
Our web host automatically keeps standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring site and time of visit. These are used for security and to keep the site running. We do not run advertising trackers or analytics scripts on this site.
Legal basis (UK and EU visitors)
We process enquiry data on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to you, or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business (such as email, hosting and form providers), or when required by law. Some providers may process data outside your country; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards.
Retention
We keep enquiry emails for up to 24 months, or longer if we have an active client relationship, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Email hello@bluecarets.com and we will respond within 30 days. UK visitors may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
This website is intended for business users and is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page.
